Description

tried installing to play coop with a friend, but everytime i launch the game gives an unhandled exception and sits at a black screen.

What version of the game are you running? (i.e. GTA IV 1.0.X.0, GTA Complete Edition 1.0.X.0.)
Are you using any mods, or anything that may tamper with your game.

I'm not certain if this the same issue, but please check if "Blackscreen patch" is enabled in the game settings of the GTAC launcher. It's under the "Bug Fixes" tab.
